Bunga Yuridespita

Bunga Yuridespita (b. 1989) studied architecture at Pelita Harapan University. She always carries reflections on the relationship between space, memory and identity. The fields of architecture and fine arts have made her always experimenting with mode of seeing from a macro scale such as a city to her personal scale. Her paintings have a distinctive feature with bold colors and geometric shapes depicting the angular image of street lines. With the help of technology, she entrusts her eyes to a drone or digital map to be able to get a bird’s-eye view of her daily life. This state of intertwining is expressed through color, planes, and spatial images. This process becomes something of a journal for Bunga to discover her identity in her daily existence.

TUTU

TUTU was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. As an artist who was born
in the early 70s, of course, many things have been recorded and felt. His personal and social life is surrounded by things like animation, history, cartoons, and things that smell like science fiction, allowing him to think broadly and far ahead. Tutu started his career as a conventional animator, freelance Illustrator, and in 2000 he began to enter the world of street art. He has participated in many street art events and exhibitions, both national and international. His profile has also been published in several books that have been released internationally.

TUTU's work visualizes the balance between all elements that are not classical geometric rules in general, the elaboration of microscopic forms, the incorporation of different visual techniques, formulated in the style of science fiction and fantasy with geometric abstraction forms, giving a retro yet futuristic feel.

Ella Witj

Ella Wijt’s paintings are homage to silence and pause which she poetically described as "full in its emptiness”. The composition in her paintings shows no anxious need to over-describe. Her work creates its captivating composition with sentimental yet simple elements such as dried flowers, complete with a rainbow paint swatch and red yarn embroidery. In fact, painting gives peace of mind.

In May 2007, Ella Wijt held her first exhibition entitled 'Ellawijt: It's Just Been Started’, presenting 40 paintings at the National Museum, Jakarta. Her hard work seems to produce achievements. Ella Witj received a scholarship study at the School of Art Institute Chicago, USA. Two months later, in July 2008, Ella went to Taiwan to fulfill an invitation from Dr. Sun Yat Sen Foundation. There, Ella held an exhibition with several senior Indonesian painters such as Kartika Afandi, Maria Tjui, H. Hardi, and Gande.

A.T Sitompul

AT Sitompul is an Indonesian contemporary artist whose imagery
swells and vibrates to create an optical illusion. He creates a matrix effect with a combination of language elements like cuneiform and braille, stark parallel lines, repetitive geometric patterns and open color fields.

Sitompul’s inspiration comes from legendary optical artists Victor Vasarely, Bridget Riley and Jesus Rafael Soto. He adeptly creates dynamic visuals interspersed with static abstraction. It is sheer visual harmony to see the patterns of lines, strokes and language elements all come together to form a beautiful piece of art. The intricate mysteries of his works can draw in the viewer and provide a start to a story for them to complete.

Three-time Finalist of The UOB Painting of The Year competition,
Sitompul actively participates in many art exhibitions in Indonesia
and overseas.
